Dimensions:
10″ H × 7¾″ Ø (each)
Description:
A refined near pair of early 19th-century mahogany table-top stands, each raised on a turned pedestal and shaped base with reeded detailing. Though closely matched in form and proportion, the pair shows a subtle variation in the trim on the pedestal collar, lending a quiet asymmetry that underscores their hand-crafted origins.
The warm mahogany surfaces have been carefully polished, revealing a deep, lustrous tone and attractive grain. Both stands retain visible signs of age, including areas of finish loss to the tops and stable stress fractures throughout, consistent with use and age. Solidly constructed and fully functional, they balance decorative presence with everyday utility.
Suggested Placement:
Ideal as a near pair on a console or sideboard for displaying objects, candlesticks, plants or small sculpture; equally effective flanking a mantel, atop a library table, or used singly as refined accent stands throughout an interior.
Condition Report:
Good antique condition with age-appropriate wear. Areas of finish loss to the tops and stable stress fractures visible throughout. Structurally sound, polished, and ready for use.
