Description:
Photogravure (heliogravure) after Cindy Sherman’s 1979 negative for “Untitled Film Still #41,” published by The Museum of Modern Art, New York, in 2003. Printed in the USA on medium-weight matte paper and presented in a simple black frame with wide mat, the image distills Sherman’s seminal exploration of identity and cinematic archetype into a crisp, luminous black-and-white surface. The architectural façade and lone figure read with quiet authority—an iconic moment from the series that defined late-20th-century photographic art.

Craftsmanship & Notes:
Professionally dry-mounted with archival materials; clean, well-inked impression typical of MoMA’s 2003 photogravure project. Unnumbered, as issued by the publisher. Verso not examined out of frame.

Suggested Placement:
Ideal for a study, library, or hallway gallery wall where graphic clarity and art-historical weight are desired. Strong alone or paired with minimal architecture or monochrome photography.

Condition Report:
Very good overall. Image surface clean and richly printed. Mat and glazing present well with only minor frame rub consistent with careful handling. Professionally dry-mounted to backing with archival materials; not examined out of frame.
