Dimensions:

Description:
An early 20th century Persian rug, in the Senneh tradition, distinguished by its finely scaled repeating boteh field. The elongated paisley motifs march rhythmically across a deep indigo ground, framed by a warm coral and saffron border of stylized florals and medallions.

The tight patterning and restrained palette give the rug a graphic clarity that feels surprisingly modern. Indigo, rose, muted ivory, and softened brown tones have mellowed beautifully with age, creating a nuanced surface rich with tonal variation. The composition is balanced yet animated — a classic Persian vocabulary rendered with quiet authority.

Suggested Placement:
Ideal beneath a writing desk, layered in a bedroom, or anchoring a small sitting area. Its scale also makes it compelling as a wall textile in a study or hallway.

Condition Report:
Distressed antique condition with visible age-related wear. Low pile throughout. Small hole at center and an old repair visible within the field. Edge wear and light fraying consistent with age. Structurally stable and presents beautifully with characterful patina.
