Description:
An early 20th century Persian rug featuring an allover floral lattice in softened tones of rose, terracotta, deep blue, black, and warm brown. The field is framed by a bold border of stylized palmettes and geometric guard bands, now beautifully faded to a painterly, atmospheric palette. The low pile and gentle abrash throughout lend a quiet, timeworn elegance.

The repeating boteh and palmette motifs reflect traditional workshop design, rendered here in a compact, versatile scale. The softened coral border provides structure and warmth, while the muted central field reads almost textile-like from a distance — ideal for layered interiors seeking depth without heaviness.

This piece shows honest age and wear consistent with its century of use, contributing to its relaxed, soulful presence.

Suggested Placement:
Ideal beneath a small dining table, in a library, layered over natural fiber carpeting, or grounding a bedroom with restrained color and historic texture.

Condition Report:
Distressed antique condition with low pile throughout. Noticeable thinning to the weave at both ends, consistent with age and use. Light edge wear and surface wear throughout. Structurally stable and presents beautifully.
