Description:
An ancient Persian bronze footed tray dating to the Seljuk period, circa 9th–10th century AD. Raised on three integral feet and finished with a finely scalloped rim, the shallow vessel retains a beautifully developed archaeological surface with rich layers of green and brown patination accumulated over nearly a millennium.

The restrained form possesses remarkable architectural purity. Delicate floral ornament appears around the rim, while the softly weathered bronze surface reflects centuries of careful preservation. Acquired from a private collection with reported provenance through the London art market and formerly part of an Austrian collection assembled during the 1970s–1980s.

As both an archaeological object and sculptural decorative work, the tray carries a quiet authority that complements contemporary, minimalist, and historic interiors alike.

Suggested Placement:
Beautiful displayed atop a stack of art books, on a stone console, or within a cabinet of curiosities. Equally compelling as a standalone sculptural object or paired with other ancient bronzes and ceramics.

Condition Report
Very good ancient condition with expected archaeological wear, oxidation, and mineralized patina throughout. A stable historic crack and minor losses to the scalloped rim remain consistent with age and are presented as part of the object's authentic history. Structurally sound.
