Description:
A 20th-century Louis XIII style writing table of compact and particularly elegant proportions, crafted in warm-toned wood with a molded rectangular top, single frieze drawer, finely turned legs, and a sweeping X-form stretcher centered by a turned finial. The sculptural base gives the table considerable architectural presence while retaining a lightness that makes it particularly versatile.

The single drawer is fitted with a functioning lock, and a replacement key will be provided. Graceful variations in the turned supports and curved stretcher animate the silhouette, while the softly aged surface lends the piece an appealing sense of history and ease.

Suggested Placement:
Beautiful as a writing desk in a study or bedroom, a small library table, or a center table in an entry. Its finished, sculptural base is especially effective where the table can be viewed from multiple angles.

Condition Report:
Very good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. Structurally excellent, solid, and stable. Areas of finish and stain loss are present along the stretcher and tabletop, with scratches and surface marks to the top consistent with use. Small loss to finial. Lock is functional; replacement key included.
