A sculptural folk art stool, hand-carved from a single section of solid wood with an expressive, root-form silhouette. The elongated seat retains its natural live edge contour, while the base is supported by three organically shaped legs—one formed naturally from the wood’s original growth, the others carved and joined, including a visible peg-set leg that underscores its handmade construction.

The piece carries a strong Brutalist and wabi-sabi sensibility—raw, intuitive, and materially direct. Tool marks, tonal variation, and irregular shaping remain intentionally visible, giving the surface a tactile, almost topographic quality. Both functional and sculptural, it occupies the space between seating and object.

Suggested Placement:
Well suited to a small entryway, child's bedroom, beside a lounge chair, or as a footstool in a layered living space. Also works as a sculptural accent in a bathroom or dressing area.

Condition Report:
Good vintage condition with visible hand-carved texture, age-appropriate wear, surface variation, and minor checks consistent with natural wood movement. Peg-joined leg is secure; overall structure is sound and stable.
