Dimensions:
13.75″ H × 17.5″ W × 15″ D

Description:
A commanding Victorian brass jardiniere, crafted in England in the 19th century and supported on four sculptural lion’s paw feet. The vessel features applied lion’s mask ring handles to either side, lending the piece a sense of classical authority and animalier drama typical of late Victorian decorative metalwork.
The hand-worked brass body displays a warm, time-softened surface with visible hammering, riveted construction, and a braided band encircling the lower register. The interior retains an aged verdigris patina consistent with long use as a planter or decorative vessel. Marked “Made in England” to the underside.

Suggested Placement:
Ideal as a floor-standing planter in an entry hall, library, or conservatory. Also striking when repurposed as a log holder beside a fireplace or as a sculptural vessel in a grand bathroom or garden room.

Condition Report:
Good antique condition with age-appropriate wear. Surface patina, oxidation, and verdigris present throughout, particularly to the interior, consistent with age and use. Structurally sound and visually rich.
